Terminate contract with lawyer and 485 DIY -- problem?

Is there anyone who had a contract with a lawyer for the GC application and later filed 485 yourself? did you have any problem with contract/lawyer? my contract says the overall cost for GC is $4500, and a payments will be made according to the application progress in each step: before application --> LC-->140 filing--> 485 filing--> after 485 approval. I want to file 485 myself, will I have any problem with the contract? can anyone share your experience? Thanks a million.
