i have asked ISSO for info of F1 and Immigration status. Hope it will be helpful for others who have the similar situation. It is my understanding according to the talk with my ISSO officer.
1. I need to apply I-485 together with you immediately. Otherwise i will lose the chance to get my PR. It has been a five-year waiting time now.
2. If I file my I-485, I will legally change my Status to AOS. Althought I could pretend to be F-1 status, legally i am not a F-1 student anymore.
3. Financial Aid has nothing to do with the F-1 status. It doesn't matter whether I am a F-1 student or in AOS status. I still can get my funding and study in School legally.
4. The safest way for me is to apply I-485 together with AP and EAD. I could work with my EAD. Also I could travel with my AP. It will inform the SEVIS that I have changed to AOS. If I choose not to travel, the immigration office might not know I have filed I-485. That doesn't mean I am still a F-1 student but I could pretend to be. I still have an authorized period of stay.
5. If I could not finish my study on time, I could not extend my I-20 although ISSO says they might not mind extending my I-20. Once the immigration officer notices that, I will be in trouble. I'd better keep in AOS status. In AOS status, I still could finish my degree with financial aid.
6. If anything happens for example my hu*****and's I-140 denies, I could still come back with H-4 as long as my hubby keeps his H-1b status. I could still finish my study even in that way. But probably i will not have financial aid any more.
7. I could still travel with AP once my hu*****and's I-140 approves. As we all know, I-485 seldom gets denied after I-140 approves.
Being so happy that I don't need to worry about my F-1 status any more. I have nothing to lose instead gaining more freedom.
thanks for lovewind and xiaobaitu, Here is some info about F-1 a
