What documents should I have?

I am a postdoc in a university with H-1B visa,doing research .I miss my family very much,and want my hu*****and and kid to visit me for a few months.
Does anybody know what kind of documents I need to prepare for them to get H-4 visa in China? How about the chance to get the visa? Is it very difficult?Please help me!
