Air ticket

I just want to ask a question regarding air ticket. I am now in the states with my family and plan to land in canada soon. My wife want to go back to China and then go to canada. Can I book air ticket from US--China--Ca? Is the price much different from that of a round trip ticket? Can someone recommend a good ticket agent(s)? I will be very appreciative to your kind help and information.
