I-485 stucked due to name check problem !!!

I just learned that I have a name check problem with FBI. My PD is Sept., 2003 (Texas center). But I think my suffering has just started. Since my lawyer told me there will be no timeframe for this kind of problem to get resolved. Any body has similar experience here. Pls. share your information!!! Also any suggestions will be very much appreciated!!! God is not fair to everybody, apparently. Please help!!!
