case by case

My experince is PD current does not effect on your name checking. Some people got approval afte PD is current because there name checking was cleared already.
MY hope was that USCIS pushes FBI for the cases that have current PD . But from my own case and other cases I read, USCIS does not do it. My PD is over current date for 1.5 years but still pending due to name chekcing for 3 years.
