I only answered to message body. The answer is not complete. If you have a I-485 pending, you can not stay outside the US very long, or the 485 will be denied (abandon). However, you can request a consular processing by filing I-824 and wait your GC outside.There is pros and cons of this approch. And you need to do a comprehensive research before your decide to do so.
Or you can withdraw your I-485 right now, stay a few year outside the US, and then come back to the US on a H1 and file a new I-485.
