H1 transfer, 請指點

我目前持h1 簽證,現在的老板沒經費了, 可支持到六月一號, 我已找到在另一個ACADEMIC INTITUTE 的位置, 他們幫我申請H1 簽證已有兩個月,還沒消息,真著急啊,那幫官僚,辦事拖拖拉拉,一點效率都沒有,害得我擔心六月一號以後怎麽辦. 我現在的H1 簽證有效期到2008年, 隻是,6/1之後沒有薪水,不就成非法了嗎? 現在我是一點主意都沒有,是這樣幹等著,還是趕快申請H4 (老婆是H1). 請各位大狹指點.
