05/04/2006: American Consulate in Delhi's Misleading Immigrant V

The American Consulate in New Delhi, India has been reporting erroneous priority dates from time to time. This is a serious matter in that it can cause unnecessary confusion in the immigrant community as well as other stakeholders. We urge the U.S. Department of State to investigate the root of the problem to make it sure that there is no wrongdoing involved. It is hoped that it is caused by typographical errors, but considering the patterns of misleading reports in the past, the U.S. Department of State should take the matter more seriously.
