I deposited a bank draft once

when I first came to U.S. 4 years ago. I don't remember the exact amount (maybe 8K to 10K). My bank didn't charge me any fee for doing that. My bank was Huntington Nantional Bank. You should contact your bank first, and I think the policy varies by banks.
