救急！回到原公司，要重新申請H1 transfer嗎？

I just got laid-off. My former boss agreed me to go back to work, my H1 has transferred after I left his company. He didn't write to the Immigration Bureau to cancel my H1 visa which has a work period until 2007. Do I need to file another new H1 transfer back to his company or the old H1 appeal still valid?
