Xiaobaitu, pls help-- "half-time reseach" effects

Hi,

I am working in a university and filed NIW GC last september. Due to the funding shrink, I may have to work half-time with 50% salary. I am going to look for a part-time job to come up to 100% or higher. The reason I intend to keep the 50% is to keep my research continuing which I think would be good for NIW GC approval.

By the way, if I could not find another 50% (at least), how much the risk would be for NIW GC approval?
