Will AP affect OPT to H1B visa and current H1B extension?

I am with H1B visa and will need extension next year. My spouse is on OPT and will need apply H1B in a few months. We are going to apply for AP and then use AP for reentry. Will the use of AP affect my H1B extension and my wife's visa change to H1B? Thanks in advance!
