F1 visit Canada (already applied OPT, but have not got it)

Please help!

My F-1 I-20 is until August 1st. I applied OPT staring from August 16th (Just applied and have not got it).

Is it ok to travel to Canada (next week)? Just apply Canadian visa? What kind of documents for me to show to reenter US?
