還有, 信中說, 也可以親自去, 因為我的情況是:
我是主申請, 先生在國內, 我是否可以拿2個人的護照去水牛城?

Either way is fine. I think that mail both passports will be a better idea though. Just remember to use certified mail or something that you can track. Also include a postage-paid express-mail envelop so that they can mail it back to you.
再有, 一般情況下,護照簽證期是多久? 1年? 2 年?
From the date that you did your physical exam, 1 year.
