Possible:? H1 from non-profit change to work for profit

before H1 approved and Oct 1? A company is trying to hire me in June. Right now, I am holding H1b visa with a University. Is it possible to apply for H1B and start to work for the company in June. My I-140 with NIW has been approved recently. Can this help?
