Don't lie at anytime. I remenber I saw a person who got visa at the the begining and was called back the visa when he walked away from the VO window (I was the next interview person in the line, so I heard that). Because he did not mention that he got F-1 visa denied 15 years ago in his 156 form. Poor guy did not get visa and got very bad credit at the moment.
