As I know, if you are doing the skilled work imm. you can just send them a bank statement which include you name, SSN and how much money you have with this bank(including your CD, checking&saving accounts).
So just ask the bank (you have the accounts with it) to write the letter for you. that's it. This is just my experrience, maybe they have revised something recently? you can also send them an e-mail or fax them to ask for detail.
