Can I be treated as a resident of China for tax purpose?

I am a H1-B holder in a non-profit organization last year. Before I moved to US, I lived in Canada as a permanent resident. I am wondering whether I can be treated as a resident of China before moving to US. Under article 19 from the US-China tax treaty , my eligibility of expemtion of fed tax depends on whether I am a resident of China before moving to US. thanks for your help

No. Once you get H1-B, you become us resident by -ghostmic- 給 ghostmic 發送悄悄話 (78 bytes) () 04/10/2006 postreply 19:27:14
