一個Advance Parole 和H1B的問題

請教：
我拿AP 回國然後入境後我的H1B 還有效嗎？我的雇主說我的H1B status 是不變的。 但我的律師說我回來後身份變成parolee， 如果要變回H1 需要file一個extension 然後才能變回來。 有人知道到底是咋回事兒嗎？
