I was on my vacation quarter (9/8/05-1/2/06) and sent my application form on 12/17/05, and received a receipt from INS on 12/19/05, I received a letter yesterday that said my application was denied because my F1 status has expried on Nov 23, 2005. But, my F1 status should still be held at least till 1/2/06. Is it possible for INS to correct their mistake? Thanks for your reply!
