1,When you enter Canada,the Canadian immigration offiecr will stamp on your passport,so US Customs officer will know how long do you stay in Canada.
2,If you tell the stuff of airlines you intend to come back to USA after visiting Canada,he/she won't collect
your I-94.
I can't answer question 3 & 4 since I don't have ideas about Canadian customs policies.
