If your PD is current, you'll have a strong case when you talj to your senator aor congressman. My PD is current and still waiting for the Name Check. I've contacted my congressman's office and they said they will contact FBI inquiring my case status since my PD is currnet. Don't know whether it'll help, I'll keep you guys updated.

I do read from other immigration forum that fater congressman sent status enquire to FBI regarding name check, the check got cleared right ways.

So keep fingers crossed.
