Based on your deion, the reason of your denial has something to do with your EAD.
That means INS suspect you either work without approval of EAD or work with expired EAD. To be honest, I could not tell any gap from your deion.

What you really should do is to call them or ask your lawyer to call them and find out exactly what they want. Don't waste your time. Call immediately.
