I485 documents lost

Hi all,
I have filed I485 more than two years ago, had fingerprints taken, photo taken in last March and August. As it is out of processing time, I asked office of congressman inquery my cast. The congressman's office replied telling me my case was in security check and my fingerprints were expired so that I will receive a notice to have my fingerprint done again. However, recently I got a letter from immigration service center telling me that my I485 documents could not be located. I have to re-file 485. It seems that I have to do it from the beginning. It is very disgusting! I wonder if anyone had similar situation and share with me your way of solving this problem.
