Thanks for your answer, but I checked single status is for person who is unmarried or legally separated from your spouse under a divorce or separate maintenance decree and not qualification for other filing status. So I hesitate choose this status. Do you think when I file married filing seperate return, my wife also need to file her return? but When I checked (pub)spouse who need ITIN for tax return, just mention joint return not seperate return, and didn't say my wife need to be treated as RA. So I guess when my wife is as non-RA, she don't need to file her return. Is that correct? Thank you for your help. I think you know this thing very well. I already read many publication about this case. But I am still a little bit confusing.
