Try to contact your lawyer. If he still does not have your mail, send the response yourself using fedex or UPS next day service, including in the package the copy of RFE, a cover letter explaining the reason for delaying and a copy of express mail receipt and track record. If your lawyer already got the package, ask him to send it out quickly and to explain the reason for delay. INS is kind of strict in the past on the due date of RFE response.
