H1B to O visa? Thanks for any input!

I am working in an university with H1B. A company gives me a offer now. I want to ask them to apply me for O visa, because of empty H1B-cap. My I-140 (EB1-A) has been approved, but waiting for PD to submit 485. My question is will the transfer from H1B to O visa affect the process of my GC application? Thanks for your suggestions!
