I drove to Vancouver. Bank letter was my proof of enough money.
The immigration office and custom are at the border. Did the immigration stuff there. At that time they asked me if I had an address in Canada. I gave them one and they said they would mail the PR card to that address.
Next thing was to report what I was gonna bring in to the Canada. At the time I didn't have anything but some personal clothes for a couple of days. But I had a list of all my belongings that I was going to bring in in the next five years. They certified that list and didn't charge anything.
When bringing in your car, you must have your registration verifying you own the car. I don't know about other items. But that's the only thing the customer officer specifically reminded me of.
