if your 1st 140 was denied, your 485 would be denied at the same time, since it is associated with your 1st 140. Under this situation, even if your 2nd 140 got approved, your cannot transfer 485 to it, you have to wait for the priority date to become current and then file a new 485. Hope this is helpful.
