我們正準備申請LC移民，受到律師寄來的協議文本，覺得問題不少，對我們不利。摘錄如下：
I, the undersigned client, do hereby appoint the xxxx firm to represent me in Labor Certification and Permanent Residence Proceedings. For legal services rendered, I agree to pay the sum of xxxx dollars plus xxx for each dependent as follows:
Payable upon signing this retainer agreement . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. $xxxx
Payable upon the first day of the next months. . . . .... . . . . . . . . . . $xxxx
In the event that the permanent residence is not approved I will be responsible for only one half of the above stated attorney fee ($xxxx)
A late payment fee of one percent (1%) per month will be charged on any payment not received by the 10th of the month in which the payment was due.
In addition to the above fee, I agree to reimburse the xxxxx firm for any expenses necessary to the preparation and processing of the applications as they are incurred. Such expenses may include Immigration Service and/or U.S. Consulate filing fees, express mail charges, translation fees, long distance telephone charges, transportation costs, and the cost of photographs required by the Immigration Service.
In the event that an appeal is necessary, it is further understood that an additional fee would be required as agreed upon at that time. This retainer does not include representation in extension of status, advance parole, waiver of excludability, deportation, judicial proceedings, or additional proceedings resulting from changes in immigration laws or regulations.
It is understood that xxxx firm cannot guarantee the successful outcome of my case or the time required to complete the case. However, my attorneys agree to proceed with my case in a reasonable and prudent manner. On my part, I agree that I will cooperate in every manner required of me by my attorneys. I will tell them the true facts about my background including my work history, my family background and my immigration status. I will keep my attorneys immediately advised of any change of address or employment and any other circumstances bearing on my case. I will execute applications as required and obtain as soon as possible documents and information that may be necessary for the successful conclusion of my case.
A copy of this retainer has been received and is acknowledged by me.
