help please - Canada Immigration

I have received the 3rd letter from Canadaian Immigration. They asked me to send the passport to them ASAP. They didn't mention any deadline though. 請問可不可以延遲一下再寄護照? 如果可以的話, 一般可以延遲多久? 領導和孩子春節後(end of February) 才能回美. 如果各位弟兄姐妹有類似經曆, 敬請告之. 多謝
