Urgent help needed for Visa application

Hi,
When I made an appoitment for visa applcation for my wife and son in Shanghai consulate.I was told that visa appointment for applcants with no visa denial and those with visa denial will be made on different dates. My wife had no visa denial but my son had a denial in March 2004. At that time my son was told that one of the parents must go back to apply with him. But this time when my wife went back, I could not make the appoitment on the same date.

Can anyone help me what to do?
