ask a basic H1 question, do not laugh at me:)

Hi,

Just a basic H1 question:

My hu*****and and I both hold F1 visa now. We will both graduate in this May. My question is: if any of us get a job and has H1 sponsored, can the other one(spouse) get H1 automatically? or, the other one has to be H4? if H4, can the other one use H4 for work?
