Help! H1B visa from Canada

Hello,

I want to land in canada this spring for my Canada Green card. I just transferred my status from F1 to H1 last October. Is it easy to apply for H1B visa in Toronto for my case, will my immigration to Canada affect my application for visa? How early do I need to make an appointment for an application interview? The embassy in Canada said I need to make an appointment 56 days early, is it true?
