背景: MS in med.& org. chemistry. Working for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. 3 publications (2 1st author), 2 patents. About 15 citations. No award, no membership. 6 recommendations.
感受:
1. 推薦信和 cover letter 的內容應該實在, 允許適當的發揮, 但不要太誇大其詞,把自己誇上了天有時反而有反作用, INS 要的是實在而確鑿的證據.
2. 我的cover letter 是律師寫的, 總體感覺是cover letter應該簡潔明了, 但重點突出.在律師給我這份cover letter 之前, 自己也DIY 了一份cover letter 作 backup, 與他的cover letter 相比, 實在是又臭又長. INS是沒有興趣看這種長篇大論的東東的.
