I had a same case and talked with OIE coordinator. Her replyis below:

it would not work to enter the U.S. using
Advanced Parole and work on your EAD card until your H-1B is approved to
give you your H-1B status. That would work only if you still had valid
H-1B status. When you leave the U.S. after your current H-1B has
expired and your future one has not yet been approved, you do not have
valid H-1B status. When you enter the U.S. as a parolee, that is your
status. The arrival of the H-1B approval notice does not change that
because it was for an extension of your H-1B status. That status ended
when you left the U.S. without a valid status. While you may work up
to 240 days after a petition has been filed and before the approval
notice arrives, that dos not give you status when you leave the U.S.
Therefore, you would need to leave the country and re-enter again with a
valid H-1B visa and approval notice. It seems wise to wait until your
new H-1B has been approved and then leave, get your H-1B visa, and enter
as an H-1B.

So you can not do that.
