H-1B extension

I will go back to China for one year, my wife will stay here as F-1 (just swithed from H4 to F1). When I come back one year later, my H1-b will re-calculated, however, I do not know if my wife has 6-year H-1b after she obtained her Master degree next year. The reason is she already spent 3-year H4 before. Is this continuously calculated or not?
