Can I come back from Canada to USA as before during I-485 pendin

I am PR of Canada and often go to Canada and come back USA just with I-94 (H1 status, not Visa) before, now I am pending I-485. Can I go to Canada and come back with I-94 as before? Do I need AP for going to Canada? Thanks.
