H1-B Visa appointment

Has anybody got a H1-B visa appointment around Christmas time this year with the US embassy in Beijing? I just want to varify the information I got from the Visa call center. (Cause Visa call center told me the latest date available is 12/14/05. I think they are not telling the truth.) Thanks a lot!
