H1b question

Hi, All:

I have a question for my H1bs.

I used to work for employer A before 10/01/2005, and the employer A filed an H1b application for me in 07/2005. Then I started working for my current employer B, and they also filed the second H1b application for me on 10/03/2005.

3 weeks ago, my first H1b was approved. I called the employer A to notify USCIS by mail that I am not working for him any more. However, as I know, he hasn't done it until now. I am still waiting for my second H1b.

Now my question is:

Is it a must for employer A to notify USCIS that I am not continuously working for him? If he doesn't do it, what am I suppose to do?
