you still need visa to come back, doesnot matter where you enter. for Canadian PR, the only advantage is that you can get visa at the US embassy in Canada. if you get it successfully, I heard then you will have a 10 year multiple entry H1b visa. So, you still need to have first time visa, then in 10 years, you are free to in and out. But if you donot get it, that is also possible, you can stay in canada but you cannot come in US.
