check with your faculty friend, how many citations does he have from his 30 papers, if it's less than 100(exculding self-citations), what do you expect USCIS would say? less than 4 for each paper? My point is that you can't simply compare two cases wihtout the detailed info.
We should applaud those officers who granted NIWs to fresh PhD, Ms Most are our fellow chinese! You think it's fair to grant the legal status to those who cross the mexcica-US borders not fresh chinese PhDs, masters?
