According to CIS regulations, if the job you are seeking meets the NIW standard, and your background on this field is strong and you can get ref letters to demonstrate. Then you are qualified.

Please note the job for NIW means your future job, not the present job. So staying currently at home is qualified for NIW application. And please note that you don't have any job for NIW case, unless you want to apply through Outstanding Researcher/Professor.
