I-485 question?

The following news from my lawyer, don't know it is true, but feel so bad.

For the cases filed before oct 1st, it will take long time for I-485 to be approved even I-140 is approved because there is already no visa number in Sep. It means I need wait a long time to get green card even I-140 get approved.

Please share the infor if your I-485 is recently approved. Thanks!
