我的理解是這個隻能由你們學校出麵負責解釋。比如說找一個正式的文件，裏麵帶有對research faculty 職位的說明。很多學校的PRS HANDBOOK一般都有這樣的字樣：the four categories of research faculty, research investigator, assis. research sicentist, associate research scientist ans research scicentist are considered parrallel to the four categories of tenure-tracked instructional faculty....their duty are...the criteria for these positions are....

如果這個都不行，那恐怕沒戲了。

還有，你的職稱是research scientist? 這個職稱是很高的，相當於full professor。
