To be frankly (and sorry for what I'm going to say), I wouldn't DIY if I were you. It will be very hard for you, with your current English proficiency, to write a good petition letter even with my help, even if you have a couple native speakers to double check for you-- because you will be the one writing, or at least drafting it.
