I-140 & I-485 receipt

My I-140 & I-485 submitted together to USCIS on 09/29/2005 and delivered to the service center in the morning of 09/30/2005. Today I got the I-140 receipt from USCIS which addressed that the received date is 10/03/2005. If the I-485 has the same received date, does this mean my I-140 & I-485 submission delivered before 10/01/2005 make non-sense? Any comments or same experience can be shared? Thanks.
