485 question!!

I sent my I485 in Spetember and got the receipt from immigration around Sep 15, 2005. On Spe 30 I got the mail to ask my birth certificate copy again even i sent it out the first time already. So i mailed out copy of my birth certificate on Oct 3. Is this considered as my application after Oct 1 or still as before Oct 1? thanks a lot!
