hi, I'm having a similar problem. I filed application for the EAD renewal on August 9th, 2005, and I'm still waiting for the approval. It normally takes about 1 month, but this time... I checked the on-line case status service, and found they already processed the EAD cases received on September 6, 2005, which sounds pretty fast. I have no idea what is happening to my case.

Of course, our situations are different in that I got their receipt notice letter of August 11th. This means my case wasn't misplaced. My wild guess is the guy who is incharge of my case is sick (hopefully not dead) or left on vacation.
